Wadas Inc. began as Elyria Farm Fertilizer Service in February 1956. They began selling fertilizer and diversified their business during the winter months by selling propane. The name changed to Wadas Fertilizer & Propane Inc. and after some time relocated the office to 126 N 15th Street in Ord. The business then expanded by selling and installing furnaces followed by air conditioners. Due to the increase in sales of heating and air conditioning, the fertilizer portion of the business was sold in 1983. The following year they sold the propane business so that they could concentrate even more on their heating and air conditioning products and services.
Joe Wadas was partial owner in the 1980s and in 2002 he purchased the family-owned business. During that time the name was changed to Wadas Inc. They have been selling and installing LENNOX products for almost 30 years. “As your local LENNOX dealer, we’re proud to offer the finest heating, cooling and indoor air quality products with prompt and professional customer service. We are also proud to be one of the finest providers of WaterFurnace geothermal products for the Ord area and have provided this service since the mid 1980s. We have also installed Mitsubishi systems since the late 1980s.”
In 1984 the office relocated once again to its current location at 205 N 15th Street in Ord. Joe is a Premier Lennox Dealer and qualified to be a Diamond Mitsubishi Dealer. Wadas Inc. currently employs five full time employees. They install and service all products sold and also have the capacity to build duct work by using a plasma cutter.
