WinterFest & Small Business Saturday in Valley County was complete with Santa, snowballs, shopping, soup supper, sing-alongs and a whole lot of holiday cheer!
The day began with the Snowball Drop on the Valley County Courthouse lawn. Local shoppers caught over $1,000 of discounts, prizes and ChamberBucks offered by participating Chamber members. The snowballs were redeemed inside The Golden Husk during the Big Give Cocoa Connections, hosted by several non-profit organizations throughout Valley County.
Attendees had the opportunity to play Big Give Blackout Bingo by visiting with non-profit leaders for a chance to win even more ChamberBucks! Winners of the Blackout Bingo were Julia Broker ($25 ChamberBucks), Maggie Svoboda ($25 ChamberBucks) and Knight Dodson ($50 ChamberBucks)!
Throughout the day, local shoppers and visitors enjoyed a holiday photo booth at Anderson Pharmacy, a Boutique Bonanza and Remembering our Fallen photo memorial at the Trotter Event Center and a free holiday movie at the Ord Township Library followed by a visit with Santa at the library.
Community members gathered for a soup supper hosted by the Ord Township Library Foundation, explored an old fashioned Christmas at the Valley County Museum and enjoyed holiday treats at the Valley Rods Clubhouse before the annual WinterFest Parade in downtown Ord.
