New Neighborhoods Update

The end of July is bringing many new developments at the New Neighborhoods Project. Located at Rolling Hills Subdivision in Ord, street paving is set to begin on Friday, July 29th weather permitting. Storm sewers have been installed, utility and water lines laid and the first six townhomes are nearing completion. Paving is set to be complete by the end of August, with the first homes to be begin construction in September.

The New Neighborhoods Housing development meets a critical housing need within Ord and Valley County. The effort also has several incentives for prospective homebuyers to build the home of their dreams. Income-qualified buyers are eligible for up to $37,000 in downpayment assistance for the development of a new home.

In addition to the Down Payment Assistance, the first seven lots designated for income-qualified buyers will be donated as part of project incentives. Finally, income-qualified homebuyers will be eligible to utilize a 4% interest construction financing fund for the construction of their home.

If you are interested in purchasing a lot to build a home, I would suggest moving forward with your efforts as the ideal lots are now being secured by families looking to build at the development.
