Today, the City of Ord and its project partners celebrate the groundbreaking of the Ord New Neighborhoods Initiative. Join project partners, local leaders, Senator Kate Sullivan and Congressman Adrian Smith at the Rolling Hills building site (for directions below) at 1pm to celebrate this momentous occasion.
Directly after the groundbreaking, a reception will be held at the Valley County Economic Development offices located at 1514 K Street.
New Neighborhoods is a project developed to meet the needs of a growing workforce. This project also capstones ten years of systematic investment into our community: community reinvestment through the sales tax program, modernization of health care through the new hospital, modernization of our educational system through the high school renovation and building project, reinvestment into the heart of our community with the downtown revitalization project, enhancement of fire protection and safety with the completion of the new fire hall and systematic investment in the private sector through economic development.
You can read up on project details here. We hope you can make it and celebrate another investment into the future of Ord!
Thanks Caleb and Janie for all of your hard work.
Thanks to you and the Council for moving this thing along. Without the City this project would have died a long time ago!
Great Post, I will bookmark your blog and tell my mom I found this for her. She is a big fan of this kind of stuff. Bye!
