Hand Sanitizer Available for Valley County Businesses & Organizations

The Ord Area Chamber of Commerce has 150 gallons of hand sanitizer available (at no cost) for Valley County businesses and organizations. One representative from a business or organization can pick up a gallon at the Ord Area Chamber office (1514 K Street, Ord) on Wednesday, May 13 between 2:00-5:00 pm.

Availability will be on a first-come, first-served basis until the inventory is gone. Distribution is intended for Valley County businesses and organizations where employees, staff or volunteers regularly interacting with customers and members of the community.

The 80% alcohol base sanitizer is made at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln Food Processing Center on the Nebraska Innovation Campus with guidance from the UNL College of Engineering. Ingredients were donated by Nebraska’s fuel ethanol producers and the companies who supply and support the ethanol industry.
