Since January 1996, Ray Scott, James Andreesen and Angie Svoboda have been growing Good Life Pharmacy in numerous ways.
Geographically, they have expanded their business to include three independently owned locations in Ord, Albion and Loup City.
With over 100 years of combined pharmacy experience, their growth has come about in the form of technology and product lines as well. They now utilize two pharmacy robots to help streamline the dispensing process which frees up pharmacists’ time, so they can focus on consulting with patients and doctors.
They also recently launched Ideal Protein in Ord, a medically approved weight loss program that focuses on two main goals – weight loss and a healthy lifestyle education. The Ideal Protein program will soon be available at their Albion location as well.
Additionally, Good Life’s pharmacists continue to grow their business by acquiring new knowledge. In fact, their business is the home of the most experienced customized hormone compounding pharmacist in the Midwest that exclusively practices in Nebraska. Their Good Life-branded line of supplements is available on www.ShopOrd.com along with the Rx Skin Therapy products they offer.
Good Life Pharmacy’s growth is also apparent in their workforce. They began in 1996 with three pharmacists and four additional employees. Now, Good Life employs six pharmacists and ten certified pharmacy technicians across their three locations.
Amid their growth and utilization of cutting edge technology, Good Life Pharmacy remains steadfast in the tradition of compounding while bringing together the relationship triad of the prescriber, patient and pharmacist.
From healthy lifestyle education to medication adherence packaging for at-home patients, their dedication to helping their customers live a healthy life is apparent in all they do. Their commitment to supporting the local community is obvious as well.
Angie Svoboda, Pharm.D. FIACP, states, “Keeping your prescription business local allows for Good Life Pharmacy to pay it forward by being a proud sponsor of youth activities in Valley County such as Boy Scouts, 4-H, FFA and Teammates.” They also support Ord High School and Elementary schools in projects such as the installation of the new video board in the gym. Coinciding with their health-focused business, Good Life Pharmacy also gives generously to the Valley County Health System Foundation each year.
