Bethel Baptist Church – September 2015 Chamber Spotlight

Gatherings on Sunday mornings are filled with gratitude, fellowship and smiles at Bethel Baptist Church in Ord. Bethel Baptist Church believes the Bible is God’s word and is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. Bethel Baptist in Ord is associated with the Baptist General Conference, recently renamed Converge. Converge is a movement of churches working together to strengthen existing churches and plant new churches as well. Bethel practices systematic exposition in their preaching ministry. Their music is purposefully chosen, not based upon style or personal preference, but on the text of Scripture that is being expounded during the gathering, which typically includes a blend of contemporary songs, choruses and hymns.

Bethel Baptist Church’s values of family connection permeate throughout their service. “Sadly, most families wave “goodbye” when they get out of the car to go to church and tell each other “hello” when they get back in the car after church. We are “pro-family” in practice. Children and young adults (teens) are encouraged to worship with their family or the family with whom they are a guest at our church gathering on Sundays.”

Join Bethel Baptist Sunday mornings at 10:00 am for their gathering. Immediately following the service, a church-wide snack and fellowship takes place. On the second and forth Sunday evening of the month, Bethel has a corporate prayer time beginning at 7:00 p.m. Bethel households are also encouraged to participate in home worship and/or other ministry projects. It is our goal to equip and train households to study and worship as a family at home in addition to weekly corporate study and worship.
