For Scott Philbrick, a passion for cars sparked early. In fact, his journey began in 1982 when he won his first Valley Rods Car Show award for a model car at the Father’s Day Rod Run. That childhood enthusiasm evolved into a lifelong love for the automotive world—and eventually into a thriving business.
In October 2021, after more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, Scott turned that passion into entrepreneurship by opening Scott’s Auto in Downtown Ord. He brought new life to a familiar space—the former Phillips 66 Station—transforming it into a trusted, local hub for car and light truck repairs.
Scott’s Auto offers more than just expert repairs and maintenance. Scott prides himself on delivering top-notch customer service and building relationships with his clients. His genuine care for the safety and satisfaction of each customer is at the heart of the business.
The shop continues to grow, recently welcoming Kris Turk, a seasoned mechanic with over a decade of experience. Together, Scott and Kris form a knowledgeable and reliable two-man team, specializing in diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance for a wide range of vehicles.
But Scott’s Auto is also a place where future gearheads can get inspired. With the addition of the Little HotWheels Library, kids can stop by, swap out an old Hot Wheels car, or even score a brand new one—especially if you catch Scott tinkering in the shop. It’s a small but meaningful way Scott pays it forward, encouraging the next generation to find joy in all things automotive—just like he did.
