The Ord Area Chamber of Commerce was thrilled to host the first ever Downtown Coffee Connections gathering on May 20, 2021 at Jubilee Events & Catering in Downtown Ord. Approximately 25 business owners, employees, building owners and community members gathered to network and share ideas about how to continue growing the vibrancy of Downtown Ord.
The conversation kicked off great by sharing thoughts and ideas that flowed from the simple question, “What is Ord known for?” Some of those in attendance said The Father’s Day Rod Run, WinterFest, Evelyn Sharp and more. After a brief discussion, those in attendance were asked “What are some ideas, big or small, that you have for Downtown Ord?” From here, ideas poured into the room. Ten minutes after the meeting was meant to end, creative problem solving continued to be shared throughout the room. Ord Area Chamber staff quickly wrote all ideas down on a whiteboard for all to see. It was clear to all in the Downtown Coffee Connections that there was a great energy around not just growing Downtown, but all of Ord and Valley County.
