About
Welcome to Ord!
Ord is a vibrant town nestled in the scenic North Loup Valley on the eastern edge of the Nebraska Sandhills. Recognized in publications that include the New York Times and National Public Radio, Ord is a genuine and progressive community with a wealth of business opportunities, a full spectrum of recreation excitement, and good, old-fashioned home-town living. As the county seat, Ord’s location and business climate lends itself to being a retail and service hub for a trade area that rivals that of any other Nebraska community of like-size. Speaking of size, don’t let ours fool you. By night Ord may only house 2,400 residents. By day, hundreds more travel into our community to do business.
